About Host Homes
Thank you for your interest in our Host Homes! Host Homes will not all look the same, with one exception – each one will have the desire to share their faith by loving and celebrating a birth mom through her pregnancy journey while she walks her chosen path of adoption. Host Homes can be made up of a married couple, or a single female in accordance with our Statement of Faith. You can be in the city or in the county. You can work full time or be retired. You can be just starting out or have years of experience.
The goal of the Host Home is to provide a Christ Centered atmosphere, filled with love and not judgement; not only accepting, but CELEBRATING birth moms for their choice to continue their pregnancy. We rejoice in the fact another life has been saved!
The Host Homes provide a clean, safe place for our birth moms to live. While usually a private bedroom, in some circumstances a shared bedroom may be appropriate. The birth mom will share your common spaces, invite to become a part of your family while she is there. She may be attending school, working and will have medical appointments. She may have her own transportation, or may need assistance. This is why we will ask you A LOT of questions. We want you, our Hosts, to have the BEST experience with the birth moms we celebrate, making sure no one is overburdened and everyone is heard.
Some birth moms may choose to prepare and cook their own meals with food you provide. Others may join you for meals. Still others may have a combination of both. AahHope does require food and snacks to be available for our birth moms. The specifics of how this works in your home is part of the communication we ask of you.
Our birth moms come from all kinds of backgrounds, challenges, successes and experience – just like our Host Homes. By being transparent throughout the process, you assist AahHope in making the best fit for birth moms in your home.

Please review our Statement of Faith, as it is your first step to see if working with AahHope would be right for you. If you agree with it, we welcome you to complete the initial application found on our home page. Next you will be contacted by AahHope representatives to answer any questions, complete the background, interview and inspection processes. Now it’s time for the fun stuff – training! In order to be sure all our Host Homes operate in a like manner according to AahHope guidelines, we provide mandatory initial and continuing training. Don’t worry – it’s not like getting a master’s degree – it’s easy to understand and complete, without taking up all your extra time.
Host Homes receive a flat rate stipend to cover expenses for room and board. The amount will vary depending on the city/county you live in. You can ask your AahHope representative about the amount applicable for your area.
